• FUJITEC released two new mid range elevator product lines for Latin America markets. These equipment are manufactured in Colombia and have several configurations. The LiVF line is suitable for residential applications as well as mid traffic range and it is available with several machine room types like overhead, side or below, without machine room or hydraulic (please see the catalog). The other line Excel VFS for high traffic applications, would be configured with the world famous FUJITEC Group Supervisory Panel FLEX Neuros N100, N200 or N300. 

• FUJITEC Shanghai started the manufacturing of the new escalator GS8000NX (please see the catalog) and the new autowalks GS8100 (please see the catalog). These two new products are the second generation of the world class GS8000 line and have important improvements and a new esthetic design..

• FUJITEC showed a new Gearless Elevator Machine prototype called “Talon Drive” equipped with a permanent magnet motor. The motor transmit the movement to the sheave trough a special flexible belt that also pushes the wire ropes against the sheave. In this way it is possible to design lighter car cabs compared with conventional systems (see Article).

• FUJITEC Shanghai opened a new factory for the manufacturing of its world famous GS8000 escalators and autowalks. The facility double the capacity of the previous plant. From this center FUJITEC provides escalators and autowalks for all over the world.

• FUJITEC Japan inaugurated its second plant in its facility located in Shiga Prefecture. In addition a new test tower was also inaugurated. The test tower is the tallest in the world with its 180 meters. The new tower will be used to developed super high speed elevators that will be required in the skyscraper of the next decades.
