Safety Rules
For Elevators
1) Decide
destination floor before enter the elevator. Push the button with the direction
towards you are going to.
2) Remain in
the sides of the elevator during the travel in order to let get down and
get in passengers in intermediate floors.
3) Before
getting in the elevator, remain in the side of the hall door in order to
let get down the passengers who are coming in it.
4) If it
exists, hold yourself in the handrail
5) Pay
attention to the floors indicator.
6) If the
elevator is complete, wait for the next one.
7) When you get
in, get down or during the travel, hold kids hand firmly.
8) Be careful
when you get in and get down the elevator. It may exist unevenness
between the elevator floor and waiting hall floor.
9) If the
elevator stops and doors don’t open, first push the open door
button, if they still don’t open, press alarm button and wait for
help. Never try to force doors opening and do not abandon the elevator
without external help.
10) Be careful
when the elevator is closing doors, keep free the sill door and do not try
to stop the doors with hands. If it is necessary wait for another
elevator.
11) Keep
pressing the open door button if you need doors to be more time open or
ask someone to do this for you.
12) In case of fire do not use elevators.
Go down by stairs. Generally, when a fire alarm is activated in a
building elevators do a special operation, to let passengers get down in
the closer floor and then elevators stop automatically, without starting
up again.
For Escalators
1) Get in and get down the
escalator quick but carefully. Pay special attention if you are wearing
bifocal glasses.
2) Hold yourself firmly in the
handrail
3) Stay always stands, looking
ahead and separately from both sides. NEVER SIT DOWN IN THE STEPS, cloth
can be caught in them.
4) Re-place your hands if the
handrail goes slower or faster than steps.
5) DO NOT PLAY IN THE
ESCALATOR AND DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE TO DO IT.
6) Keep hands, feet, hair,
shoelaces, necklaces, bracelets and loose cloth away from mobile parts of
the escalator.
7) Always get in the escalator
wearing shoes.
8) Escalator is only for
passengers. Wheelchairs, trolleys, and big parcels, are not allowed.
Small parcels and handbags shouldn’t be leaned in handrails
9) While you are traveling in
the escalator, do not pay attention to other things, keep your sight on
the escalator.
10) When you get in, get down or during the
travel, hold kids hand firmly and do not let them to enter in the
escalator without an adult.
11) When you get down keep
free the landing area quickly. It may be other passengers behind you.
12) Don’t touch sides
under the handrail
13) Be sure to locate the
emergency stop buttons (generally placed in entrances and exits) before
to get in the escalator. You might need to use them.
14) The escalator zones where
there have been more accidents are:

Handrail return.
·
Combs from the initial and final part of
the escalator
·
The space between steps and rails
For Autowalks
1) Always look ahead and hold
yourself in the handrail. NEVER SIT DOWN IN THE AUTOWALK FLOOR.
2) Do not put parcels neither handbag in
the handrail.
3) When you get in and get
down and while you are traveling hold kids hand firmly and do not let
them to enter in the autowalk without an adult.
4) Get in and get down quick
but carefully, and pay special attention if you are wearing bifocal
glasses.
5) During the travel, stand on
the right and walk along the left side.
6) Re-place your hands if the
handrail goes slower or faster than the autowalk.
7) DO NOT PLAY IN THE AUTOWALK
AND DO NOT ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE TO DO IT.
8) Keep your hands, feet,
hair, shoelaces, necklaces, bracelets and loose cloth away from mobile
parts of the autowalks.
9) Always get in the autowalk
wearing shoes.
10) When you get down, let free the area
quickly, it may be other passengers behind you.
11) Do not touch side parts behind the
handrail.
12) Be sure to locate the stop
emergency buttons (generally placed in entrances and exits) when you get
in the autowalk. You might need to use them.
13) The zones where there have been more
accidents are:

·
The initial and final teeth of the
autowalk
·
The space between steps and rails.
